About the new players.

A lot of the guys who are starting to play this game leave in a matter of days . Why ? Because they are small and they don't know how to play the game. My idea is to start teaching them how to play the game. When we see a new person in " New to the forum? " we should start talking with him/her and offer advices about farming / raiding / ascension and all that stuff . This way we might stop the new players from leaving the game.

Contact then in " New to the forum " but i think that they are more interested in growing first

I always try on IRC, the last few weeks 2 or 3 people have joined on IRC and asked for some assistance - I have told them how to play and sent them some resources to get them going. And I think they've all became very active and are enjoying playing.

I also told them to contact me if there's anything else and suggested they'd find a commander or alliance on forums.

This game can always use more players - and it is my hope they will enjoy it as much as the rest of us.

Good post Sabaku - I will try my best to keep an eye on the 'new players' forum and offer my assistance.

Regards,
KJ

Maybe a very short tutorial should be written and admin could link it to the Command Center where the newbies could see it. If the newbie reach x million army size and x billion stats the link would disappear.

Of course we all want new players to stay in the game, more active players improves the game for everyone, and in my time I have had many officers and give much advise and help to noobs starting out

BUT tbh right now if I tell them the truth they wont stay cause the game is a mess :?

Yeah it's kinda hard to get into the game, i mean you start with what ? under 500 i guess and the biggest players have almost 300 mil, well that's frightening!

i remember when i was taking my first steps and everybody had those red title under their name and well it was really confusing lol

it already exists, it just needs to be updated

what 1 billion naq isn't a good hit anymore.

And as for that I agree. It does need an update.

from a newbie point of view, I started with my on account with advice from various people which helped, u dont get much to start with and no one really hassles cos your not attached to an alliance or commander so you dont get any unwanted attention you which means you can learn and grow in your own time and you can quickly decide if you like the game or not, I was hooked after a few days but i can see how others might be put off. There is plenty of help out there if you want it i think, some outdated yes but it is there. One thing you do have to keep in mind, the guys with the 300 mill armies etc have been playing for a long time so it gives us all soemthign to aim for if we all started with lots then what would there be to aim for !

Only been playing 12 hours and already in a war with some triangle alliance. Have my UP already up to 20k, stolen 1 trillion+ (mainly off the triangle alliance), and 150k of untrained troops.

This is fun.

When I am a bit bigger I will start massing whole alliances just to annoy them :D

I have an idea, that was done in another game.

Have like a intro list of things to do. Like build a UP to 1k, and explain what it does; train 1000 miners, and explain what miners/lifers are; train defence and covert troops, explain those also; and so on.

Every step they take, they get resources to help build up. Like they get a 1k UP, and they get the naq for the next 4k, they train 1k miners, and get 3k UU, etc. This will encourage them to progress.
