It doesn`t fit in the enhancements section, it`s more a general discussion, if not apropriate please move in the right section

Many times when I cross the GC vendetta corner and read a few threads, I sometimes ran into a reply in a context of:
"I don`t follow your stupid rules, I massed you xxx times and it`s already getting boring so I declare myself the winner"

I`m sure a lot of you have read something similar to this in the vendetta section.
What`s the point of the vendetta if the players don`t follow the rules and keep it between themselves ie. * looks at the Am Heh vs Crypton thread* for instance....

I was wondering if there could be a jury made, somewhat referee`s who would establish ground rules for both parties so noone would have an "advantage" during the fight and at the end looking at the war records the referee would decide who is the winner instead of the same old " I declare myself winner because you are noob"

Of course referee`s would need to be neutral at all time, no advantages for alliance mates or anything else, imho preferably mods that don`t take the game too seriously and are not on either side....

just random brainstorming, I just want to know your opinions on this.

no flaming, no insults!!! this is a general discussion and not a discussion on an enhacement that is about to be implemented, don`t go into premature conclusions.

People would just not care about what the jury says or whatever.
"Lets have a vendetta with a jury to decide the winner"
"No, im going to mass you and everyone you know till you surrender"

Also, there is no way of telling who has won really. Too many factors to put in- people massing outside the vendetta or war, people have different playing styles, there are different ways of claiming your a winner- Massing most, Taking least losses, destroying most things etc etc.

I can only see this working if its a fun war, but normally when fun wars are declared people are normally good sports

You're an idealist, and I like that, but Im a realist and no Jury or referee system will ever work, the loser would always cry fowl, and just like the mods in this forum no-one with any connection to the game or the people in it will ever be 100% objective, they will even disagree with each other.

I think another suggestion made about Vendetta's was similar to Bloodrealm but for individuals instead of alliances. Of course would be open to abuse by friends/allies using it to stay out of main unless it came with many restrictions and costs. And since Jason hasnt fixed the Bloodrealm scoring system a year after FS-v-Alpha tested it, it seems unlikely he will create an even more complicated and fully working Vendetta version.

For now, I think the best solution is onliners, many players who fight online earn each others respect even if they still disagree on other things.

2nd that. And wars should last max 3-4 weeks. Or a set time perhaps.
Winners should be declared by points.

I never said it would work or that it should be implemented, was just a random question, I just wanted to know people`s opinion ,that`s all

Anyway, if jury or referee`s wouldn`t work I would suggest something like a 1 vs 1 military records, or 1 vs 3, depending on how many players are involved...
You would simply have a window where you would put in a players ID in and click a button "in war".
This window would then record all attacks (used AT`s, SS losses, naq farmed, weps destroyed etc.) I hope you get my drift

That way at the end of the war, players "war ME" would decide the winner, the calculator would then reset automatically after you put in someone else`s ID....

perhaps it`s stupid, I don`t know...just tryin to be productive

I just want to know if something like this could be implemented, it would surely make a lot easier to clame who is the winner without declaring the winner yourself

Just to be clear I never even considered that in a war game people would even contemplate paying someone on a jury...

I don`t mind if you`ll mass me, if massing a newbie is what it takes to help your ego then go ahead, I just got to wonder if you`ll include my alliance mates....
