Browser?

IE
FF
Chrome

Which is best. Normally I use FF, but i've been having problems recently with it being a bit slow. I've now installed Google Chrome and it seems super fast. The question is, is it super fast because it's the first time i've installed it and so it's fresh?

What are others experiences?

It works excellently for 2 sessions, after that it starts to lag horribly, and it's incredibly incompatible with any and all Microsoft-related programs. Google **Filtered** messing with my privacy isn't a good experience either.

Personally, I prefer a portable version of Firefox, wipe the session logs each time, it kind of keeps it fresh, and it's a hell of a lot more compatible. Feels safer too.
IE is my second best choice, it's consistent in its errors, compatible with everything I use and it gives the best impression of security. Microsofts openness and honesty about leaks and flaws is a lot better than Google's sweeping everything under the rug, or Firefox' millions of same solutions to their problems.

So professionally, I'd suggest IE. Recreationally, I recommend Firefox. When you're dead and buried, and feel like having a browse, Chrome.

Firefox works fine for me but then I'm narrow minded and haven't even considered installing Chrome (Mostly because I believe Google will enslave and kill us all)

Opera is also an option, also very fast and prettiful add ons and such I think :-k I know they have that quick tab thing which Firefox seems to have added.

I use IE when I have to and it's the only thing available.

Firefox just makes it look better, I'm about the looks, shallow maybe but it helps me sleep at night 8)

I've converted my life over to the 'Mac World' in the past year, so I've been using Safari for a while, but mmmm Im not overly keen, Its ok, but just seems a bit... too 'macy' even for me haha.

I've used chrome for a while, but I always seem to come back to Fire Fox, it just... feels like the best one. Not really putting down any hard facts here, but I just feel its the best.

Opera is in my opinion the best browser available. open source, VERY compatible with virtually everything, etc etc.

some people look at opera's add on mod community and see the lesser numbers compared to FF, and think FF is the better for useability? people also fail to keep in mind, that Opera comes with a bunch of features - STANDARD - that arent in any add ons for FF and likely wont be. not to mention the old standard add ons for FF (ad blockers).... Opera has its own ad blocking system.

both recreationally and professionally I highly recommend Opera.

I've been using Firefox since it came out, never really let me down.

I use Google Chrome on my little netbook as it is way faster than Firefox, especially on older hardware. I have Firefox installed on my netbook purely to farm as you can't tab gate wars in Chrome.

Privacy wise I keep the sensitive things like paypal to my locked-down Firefox on the main computer. Google Chrome doesn't even have a master password. [-(

Anyone that uses Chrome just for looks should look at early screenshots of Firefox 4.

Opera is my favourite, i've the others here too and would use FF on occasion, but it seems to lag time to time. opera is very efficent and well worked. its simple to use while having the option of being so much more!

I use Chrome and i have for months, and nothing touches it, never found one, Fire fox is slower, IE is slower, Opera is slower

and it almost gets faster if you set it to your main browser lol, :) GC is the best browser out there and the options on it are just the best your tab option to save 8 of your fav websites is the bomb diggity, plus instead of black backround and top you can pick an artists drawing, GC is well the God of the browsers right now IMO

I prefer my browsers to be simple. FF is the way I go on PC. On Mac, I use Camino (which is the equivalent of FF).
