Who in your opinion in the history of music had the power to carry an entire band forward for lack of other words in my mind 
Who had the power to change the image of a band or genre of music as a whole?
I say this with 3 people in mind
Freddie Mercury
Frank Sinatra
Johnny Cash
There are others but I think the power these three carried is very hard to match in any form of music
