It has recently come to my attention that extortionists still exist in the game, obviously through the attempted extortion of my good friend by this player http://gatewars.com/stats.php?id=1964494

I was just curious as the general view of nowdays SGW public as I haven't really been active on these forums for a while, but the game is already loosing popularity amongst most players, probably the older players but extortionists are really not contributing to help ease this problem...

How can you get extorted? Its a game.. planets come and go, so do defs and naq and uu. Just fight him in all ways possible!

what i still dont understand is how people can fall for the threat of being extorted in this game.

the idea of being scared of someone and giving in to their demands is beyond me

What people need to understand is that extortion is another type of game play.

If you don't like extortionists then do something about it. Don't keep bringing up the same old subject on the forums.

Scamming is another type of game play too clarkey. and people prefer it over other types..
doesnt mean scammers shouldn't be touched. those against extortion should stand straight and war extortionists like how some war scammers.. or some war perg people.

But posting about every single extortionist is getting boring. If you want to mass them then mass them.

No, i wasn't begging or anything, The player's ID i have posted will be dealt with by our alliance, i was just curious as the general opinion of the community
