can a mothership be attacked an destroyed if you have like an exteremly low defence stat on your mothership an planetry defence?

The mothership itself cannot be destroyed.
I.e You can lose all your M/S weapons and shields but you will never have to shell out another 450mill to buy a new one.

Um... I dont really understand that first part
But as to the second, yes, it takes alot of weapons. I would suggest you plan to have at least 2billion so when you buy your M/S youll have some left over to buy M/S weps with.
It will take awiel to spend naq on M/S weapons, so only do this if you have and uber-defense or are on PPT.
