'Race change descension'/ascended manual descension

I am wondering.... if I want to descend myself to an unascended race... I heard that you can 'keep' the ascended account some how.... but is that only with either by changing race and 'accidentaly' descending yourself, or with manually descending yourself from the ascended server?
I am asking this because I am going to descend the account I've got now, but I want to be able to re-ascend it back to TAG + if I decide to quit the game, to keep an better selling-chance.

From what I understood, if you just change your race in the main server to an unascended one, you keep your ascended account. Then if you ascend again, you just continue from where you left off.
On the other hand, if you descend yourself on the ascended server, then your ascended account is locked and your main account becomes a non ascended race. Then if you ascend, you need to email admin to unlock your ascended account as it doesn't unlock automatically.
Which then makes me wonder, what if you descend yourself on the ascended server, then ascend on main and keep your ascended account locked by not emailing admin. Do you get the ascended bonuses and become completely undescendable??

No ascended account = no ascended bonuses
At least that is how it is suppose to work

I just remembered, once you descend your ascended account, you become a daimon. Then you have to do a race change back to a non ascended race in order to ascend again.
@Knight, true it should work that way but I dont know anyone who's gone through with becoming a daimon and then ascending again so no idea if that bug I mentioned exists...
If someone did do it and never reported it, that's bug exploiting right?
