I was wondering...how does one get Glory and Reputation points in the main game?

top 300 was the ranks? I dont know exactly, perhaps someone else does...

Actually, the rank to get 1 gr point is about 420.

still I am not ascending for about 2-3 months and I am ranked top 30 or so soon to be top 10...

You have to find the last ranked player as ther is a known bug at the moment where total number of players is reported incorrectly.
29,697 x 0.015 = 445.455, rounded down this is 445.
