You can kill you own by lifer suicide, or very slowly by getting in to plague.
As for an opponent killing your lifers then no.

You could send them enough units so the plague hits them and slowly kills them off. Not a very common tactic though.

Don't be silly there is no possible way to send enough units to reach plague considering there is a trade and raid cap.

Use the Lifer Suicide Mission attack option.

2 lifers die for every 1 AC
