Glory Points

Well just had this thought and i thought i would share it
If we added in another option for Glory Points, that at 50,000 you could trade them in and get a 1% stat increase.. ( might need to make it 100,000) We might end up having more infighting for ranks.
At the moment to become rank 1. You need the following to be ranked overall 245 or lower, that the sum of all your ranks.

Because Jason has always stated there will never be another use for Glory Points.
Silly idea. For someone in 5 g&r range you would have to wait for 208 days to get to 50k or 416 days for 100k.
Why would anyone bother waiting for a year to get a 1% stat increase?
Plus it's another issues of giving the stronger players another option to increase their strengths.

To be honest, it's not really a challenge gaining G&R with all the sniper accounts sitting in the 1G&R range. Too many people "think" they're good but are too afraid to build a defense... even with the major advantages given to defenses with the update.
Perhaps when people realize the losses attackers receive against a defense now, they will build one. Until defenses start being built, G&R is a joke. Besides, the players with the highest ascensions, best planets, and higher covert levels will have a much easier time getting those G&R points than someone unascended. It only makes the powerful, much more powerful.
Perhaps trading in G&R for something like more planet slots could be something. Planets are a bonus which needs to be defended and can be taken away... but what smart player wouldn't like another stat boost?

it could encourage people to fight for the top 5 GP spot or the 10 GP spots or the 50 GP spot.

I was under the impression Rank 1 was the only 10 g&r spot and there was no 50 spot.

After the server war, I'd think you would have realized that people just give up and remain statless instead of surrendering, develop their accounts, then try again.
