If you love science fiction, go see this movie.

I watched it last night with a group of friends and it without question became one of my favorite movies of all time.

Christopher Nolan is a genius.
I had trouble enjoying it because I hated what the protagonists were doing. I think someone's dreams; their fantasies, and most private aspirations, should be secret. I wanted them to lose because I thought what they were doing was wrong.
I thought it was a great movie, even though it made me angry like... "why would put in that twist I hate you." Christopher Nolan is indeed a genius and it gets my vote for best movie of the year so far and I don't see it being topped.
There was a very, very brief exchange that went some way to justifying the contract and the motives behind what they were doing. They used the whole monopoly on energy being to the detriment of mankind, as well as going into the shades of grey Nolan loves by going from the angle that what they were doing was protecting the interests of the common man aswell as the corporations. Personally think in a 3 hour film, there should be a little more time spent on justifying the protangonists actions then a 30 second conversation
....Otherwise i thought it was a brilliant film. Glad i went to the cinema to see it.
Leonardo decaprio's totom was that spinning thing rite? if it spins on forever, then does that mean that its a dream? or if it topples/stops then that means its a dream.. I sorta got confused about this and then misinterpreted the ending i think.. SOmeone clear this up, thx
And just to confuse matters further
One of the rules of the totem was that it became un reliable as proof of reality if anyone other then the owner touched it. In the scene where Cobb spins the totem in the bathroom, it drops and the guy who gives them the contract for inception picks it up and hands it back. Dum, dum, duuuuummmm
definately makes my top 10. but not #1. I think this movie lacked the romance and the jokes that say for example pirates of the Caribbean had..

I think that was one of the real geniuses of this film. It provided a lot of high level concepts but explained them so clearly that, if you bought into them, the movie made perfect sense. At least mostly ;)

Just got back from my third viewing. Every time it has been awesome!
