were all these ppl (4701 incidents) also issued with warnings for the use of the word Ass? maybe it was the word woop?

I left the offending link in there (seeing Sokars case where he used the f and c words on forum and it was later edited but Ombusman said it should have been left so he could see what the actual issue was)

Maybe it was the word during the 8th second, although I haven't listened to the whole 3m video. But have you assumed the word you were warned for was ass?

Because the word contained in the 8th second would get you a filter on this forum.

EDIT: Also the 11th second too.

I dont think you should be warned for content posted on facebook
its a link, you can view it or not, also you need to log in to view it

But if I posted a link to pornographic pictures and people clicked that link to view the picture then it's ok for me to do that? I think not.

It may be my personal distinctions but porn and languge are two different things

But both porn and language are contained in this forum rules.

If I posted a link to an image that contained a filtered word I would expect to get a warning.

Hmm, i suppose but really that link is only accessible if you log into the 3rd party site ( facebook)
if i searched certain swear words o. This forum to proove a point, then posted the link to prove a point, would i be warned?

Not quite following you there. :-k

Anyway, i do believe that Femme honestly didn't realise the consequences of posting that link. I don't know what her User Notes are like, but I would have thought a verbal warning would have done the trick. It's not as if Femme has a track record for this sort of thing. :-k

And why is it these days that Admins seem to mod more than mods themselves? :smt017

I mean i would be doing the same thing, linking to content that breaks forum rules

erindil warning for links now,, when are you all going to clip this chickens wings,, i

this is really one of the stupids things ive seen someone warned for,
I cant even see or i guess hear what it is, cause i dont have a face book account, it is impossible for it to break forum rules, due to in order to view or hear what ever is supposed to be breaking THIS forum rule. cause the link takes me to a log in page and once a person logs in they are no longer governed by this forum, they are then governed by face book rules which im sure they had to read when they signed up and ALREADY KNOW WHAT TO KIND OF CONTENT TO EXPECT TO SEE WHEN THEY ARE IN FACE BOOK

clarkey Old friend, the difference is simple the link she posted dose not take you DIRECTLY TO ANYTHING OTHER THEN A SIGN IN PAGE,, Unless you are already signed in to face book ,which means you are aware of there rules..... a porn link takes you directly to trash and i mean trash, All of the people who have face book accounts should be well be aware of the trash you find in there, and as i said above are then in another form of forum governed by different rules, and out of the hands of this forums government

Rotten and Odji I agree with you that it should not be warnable as you have to log in to Facebook, sometimes people forget that because if they are always logged in they forget the need to, like myself for example.

I do agree that linking to things that are considered against forum rules are warnable for or at least verbal warning but not if the "viewer" has to log in to something to view it.

I see no clear reason why a warning was given and not a polite note to femme pointing out the error of her ways (even though only facebook users could see it).

I also feel that Admins should administrate the forum. Jason once said that Admins should not be modding. I myself didn't support that view back then because it's why I got involved in the team in the first place...... but I do feel mods should be left to handle lower level modding and Admins only get involved when it's serious or persistant. IMO.
