The Expendables

Mercenaries hired to help free an island of people in the Gulf of Mexico from a dictator and his army.

Simply plot line, but the action is beyond comparison. I love how real and brutal the fight scenes are. Definitely a great movie, in my opinion.

I watched a camera quality that was about 5/10, and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It had action from start to finish, but you know .. a few cheesy bits as in every action movie (to be expected IMO), too bad that Bruce didn't play a bigger role, same with Arnold. I'm also very disappointed JVD or Steven Seagal were not in this movie. It would have put it over the top.

Doesn't matter. VanDamme has a long history of turning down great roles and accepting bad ones. #-o

I watched it last night...I knew they was "big names" in it but i was laughing when i saw who one of the bad guys where...The cop Angel Batista of Dexter...my friend had no idea who he was...that made the film ok for me and made me think that the new season of Dexter starts in less then a month :-D

My best friend couldn't take the General seriously because she saw Angel every time she looked at him. It was pretty funny, actually.

Finally got round to watching this, some good one liners, lots of bang bang boom bad guys dying, good to see a lot of old faces again but I think Statham is a bit young TBH, and even though Statham is a far better actor this movie isnt about acting ability and JCVD would been a better choice completing the set of old action hero's. Shame Arnie didnt have a bigger part ( or better lines ), and I think they should have brought him back in for the final scene, but overall Id say it delivered what I was expecting, cheesy funny shoot em up action :D
