Happy Hippy Man (HHM) has asked me to escalate this issue to the Ombudsman. He has not heard a thing on the subject and remains permabanned on forums.

HHM has asked if the Ombudsman can look in to whether the permaban was legitimate (i.e. 9 warnings).

I can provide his MSN if you wish to have it.

As Earendil said it's being discussed, I'll PM him and see if anything was decided. It may be that he just forgot to post, or that the issue got lost along with everything else the administration has to deal with. If he doesn't have anything to tell me, or doesn't respond within a few days, then I'll consider this an ombudsman issue.

Anything after another week? The guy is asking.

I sent a PM to Earendil, so I'm just waiting for a response. He might be busy, or whatever, so I'll give it another couple of days.

In any case, I gave my opinion in that original thread to which you link in your initial post. I haven't changed my mind.

I brought this up again because HHM asked if he should set up a new account which I advised against doing until this is resolved. Afterall, it has been going for a month now.

I'll try to get to the bottom of this.

It was decided by the admins than the permaban stays.
