Here we got someone who doesn't know anything about europe's politics if by "lefties" you meant "leftist".

When I say lefties, I mean looney lefties, as in socialist bordering on communist. I've heard them called 'Left Wing' but never heard of the term 'Leftist'. I suggest you take another look at the ruling political parties in many of the EU countries and their policies.

So let's consider what's not "left" wing led in Europe..

Germany - EPP
France - EPP
Italy - EPP
Poland - EPP
Netherlands - EPP
UK - Conservative party
Finland - EPP
Luxembourg - EPP
Czech Republic - EPP
Hungary - EPP
Bulgaria - EPP
Romania - EPP
and Latvia/Lithuania/Malta also seem to.
Spain used to be EPP led (José Maria Aznar government) until Zapatero got elected.

OH RIGHT! The People's Republic of North Korea, the People's Republic of China etc etc. Mezzanine is right, they be commies! I must concur with Mezzanine on the need to invade as well!

LMAO accusing a group of parties -where Silvio Berlusconi's party belong- to be a bunch of commies is probably one of the most hillarious comments regarding politics to be made nowadays!
Now that's the kind of joke that would do its effect on a satirical politics show..

Most parties in europe are usually left (Read: communist/socailist leaning) due to the history of europe.

Regardless of their titles and names and what side they claim to represent, you really ought to look at their actions which betray them.

Of course there are exceptions to the rule, such as the uk which is traditionally right leaning (Read: Conservative leaning) and a few others

You are wrong, it's mainly far right parties in Europe that can be considered as close to left wing, economicly speaking, of course. (some exceptions obviously, but many far right parties outside of their views on nationalism/security/immigration, mainly anything economy related, are closer to center if not left, than centre-right parties. Considering they 'target' same profile of voters as communist parties do...)

Of course, according to any economicly far right person, most centre-right wing parties of Europe are leaning towards communism & socialism, but since when should we follow as a rightful opinion, any extreme of the political compass?

Long term wise, most popular parties within working class (not middle class of workers, but the historical working class, the "proletarians") are all parties on the left of communist party (communist party included) and far right populist parties. That's the case in France, at least.

ANY nation with a central bank must be by that very fact alone-be classed as a communist state since the central bank idea is one of the main planks of the communist manifesto...correct?!


plank 5 of the communist manifesto:

"5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a
national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly on leading and setting interest rates."

regardless of party and political stance/preference, the bottom line here is that if your nation has a central bank your nation is by default-communist....so i guess that settles that!

but i guess some will challenge that even though the evidence speaks for itself


as for the words lefties and leftist, lefties is plural. of course, you could also use leftists as the plural...i spose the individual poster can use which ever of the plural they like
