thanks for reporting it.
however, it should be considered a known bug.
before the updates were finalized,
someone reported that on the beta server,
that they were able to achieve 12 open brokers at a time...
I don't know the exact details, except that they tested this with the method you have reported.
So I don't know how many different combinations they were able to use...
Receiving vs. Sending, vs. different goods, vs. various trading partners...
and I've never tried it...
although, like yourself, I have set two at the same time by accident...
However, for the record,
I think that there is at least one way that this could be abused:
I am having a dispute with you... Dark Lord Tacoma.
I declare war on you, DLT...
I mass your account back to the stone age...
I open several tabs...
I proceed to set up 2 brokers ready to request support to 1 or 2 other players:
and then I get one broker ready to set to you...
as a fake "peace offering", or whatever reason you want to come up with.
I don't absolutely *need* to contact my traders / friends first,
as long as I don't scam them...
although the surprise takeover of their brokers might royally tick them off if I'm not careful...
meh, I'll apologize to them later...
I click confirm 3 different times, once for each broker.
then I "accidentally" hit the refresh button on the tab with your broker 2 times.
I have 2 brokers requesting assistance
AND
I've blocked your allies from setting brokers until:
you log in,
and accept or deny the 3 brokers from me to you...
if I'm really lucky, by the time you log in,
your most capable / willing friends are busy at work, school, or sleeping...
and you might have to wait even longer to get brokers accepted,
or buy resources for inflated $$ prices or unfair trades...
maybe you're even a legal minor and not able / allowed to use $$ to get resources...
Plus, if I'm a scammer, perhaps I even profit from the broker that I sent you.
Self-Help against scamming by brokers:
1) always double-check all incoming, (and outgoing), brokers.
2) if you see a
suspicious incoming broker requesting sizable sums of resources, which you happen to have out in the open, (behind your defense),
and you wish to reject it, bank the naq, or train the units as assimilators first...
even consider sending the 5k AT direct to an online friend...
then if your browser or your computer hands you a popup message from your firewall, or another website in another tab, it doesn't matter if you click the wrong button, cuz your goods are safe, and your friends will return them.
Proposed Solution to stop Broker Rigging bug exploit for Admin Jason:
alter the broker page code so that it won't re-do the action taken...
just like reloading the attack page or the attack summary page or the
bank deposit or bank withdrawal actions on the bank page doesn't re-do the action taken.
