Alliance PPT bug

So, we found out how TL is getting so much PPT and probably other alliances. There is a bug in the alliance PPT function. Instead of the intended 12 hours per WEEK it seems that there are 12 hours per DAY available.

It is amazing what bugs people will abuse just to keep their precious stats safe in this game. I have also seen some people in alliances on my war/farm list on almost endless PPT's for the past few weeks so I know others know about this and have yet to report it .

Or, you can simply say that you think there is a bug where by alliances can use 12hours of PPT/day, instead of the intended 12hours/week.

And then post accusation of cheating IN THE RELEVANT SECTION

And consider this a verbal warning. I see no need to address people as scum.

Last time I checked continuing to use a "bug" when nobody else knows about it and gaining an advantage against others seems awfully shady.
reporting to admin is one thing but post it at least. and if the intent was to keep it from being abused then using it yourself is a poor example of that.

At last weeks admin/player meeting Jason fixed a long time reported problem with the house updates that had the potential to be exploited when players went from one alliance to another in order receive more than one set of Alliance PPT per week.

Unbeknown to anyone at the time who attended that open meeting with Jason,
the fix indirectly resulted in refreshing Alliance Gifts.

I personally was not aware of this until a member of my alliance used more alliance PPT than I thought we had when I was offline.

So I spoke to several moderators and alliance leaders to find out if it was game wide or unique to my alliance and was led to believe that this was game wide.

At no time did The Legion deliberately exploit a bug and such cheap unsubstantiated accusations do nothing but discredit the players who make them
as well as the alliance in which they reside.

I mean really.... your tone is rather well... aggressive for pointing out something that can be used by everyone.

The way I understand it is that when Jason made some changes at the Admin meeting, he reset everyone's alliance PPT count, hence for this one week, we had more than the 12 hours. So it was something available to everyone.

So is this a case of bad timing for a certain alliance?

He didn't re-set the alliance PPT count for the week.

Other wise the PPTs used after the admin meet would of counted for the week.

This is not the case. :(

:? The way I understood it from TL HC was that it inadvertenly totally reset the counter back to 12. Hasn't that happened with Mh too? :-k

I was here.

While the wording could be changed it is VERY suspicious that TL didn't know anything about the bug and yet they've been burning through them at a rate that makes its glaringly obvious to anyone in their alliance and out. Really, people know when they've been put on ppt for large chunks of the day...

All that being said I'm sure forum will look in to those blatantly abusing it and take the necessary actions when he corrects the problem.

Isn't Alliance PPT an alliance gift, hence resetting the 'Alliance gifts' would have reset the alliance PPT?

sorry sorry i just saw this topic now.

i have to laugh at the noobie who created it first.

get your facts straight before you open your mouth.

on thursday/.friday Mayehm used up all of the allaince ppts and im sure forsee can verify that as we were arounda nd trying to mass but he kept going back onto allaince ppts.

we still had most of ours left (about6-8 hours) we used it up on the friday and later at the admin meeting when he changed the rule so you cant get allaince ppt unless youve been in the allaince for more than 5 days.

now allaince gifts were reset and dont point the finger when last night you were all using alliance ppts long after the original had been used up.

Not here.

yeh i think your right Tekki and you guys didnt use any of those extra ppts giving to you?? Seriously cos you was on ppt for a hell lot of time considering everytime we used one i came off hit you and then you you used one. You complain and moan about this but let me guess swapping back and for between allainces, to get the alliance ppt twice is ok is it?

Its amazing how much people moan and make excuses when they are getting they're arses handed to them - thats directed at Mik who seriously lacks the ability to show respect unlike most of Mayhem/Chaos

I've locked this topic until Admin reviews the situation and reports to us on it.

If you wish to argue there are other places to do so.

If you wish to accuse people of cheating, then there is a section that I've pointed out you can go to.

If you have things you wish to add that is CONSTRUCTIVE (for example "We tried this to and it worked for us as well, so it was universal and not selective") then PM a Mod.
