@Sarevok; So because there are other ways to kill a defense, killing the weapons via traditional means should just be nigh impossible? That makes sense...

When people claim it's impossible to mass because weapons can't be destroyed "via traditional means" i fail to see that as an argument. Especially when there are 2 other options that can be done when it is obvious the weapons are being repaired by an external force.

As Mezz mentioned before, most people hitting large defenses aim to destroy the weapons, thats many people's main aim otherwise its a half assed job ;)
Maybe we can just remove nox from the game altogether and then have limitless allaince repairs, if the attacker is quick enough then the defense can be 0ed before the allaince even knows.
Best way to sort this :D

Coyles suggestion for removing nox and making alliance ppt infinity repairs again?
That wouldnt really stop snipers...need something like killing attack supers after the defence is destroyed and being able to 0 defences in half or even a quarter of the AT's used now, and defences being exponentially faster to destroy with size, i.e smaller=faster destruction. Its pretty ridiculous when most of the 'massing' is done with sabbing.

Well if you remove nox and make the allaince repair function useable over and over without a limit it could bring a little more spice to the game again.
Strikes would have to be extremely well planned and timing would be everything for a strike team to go in.
Make the repair function much more expensive so it would be possible to use up huge chucks of the bank defending your allaince mates, which would mean the leader and 2ic would have to think twice about are the defenses off ppt worth saving or not. Maybe they will have to do the manual work themselves and drop there ppt or such to defend the allaince in order to save bank funds or waste an allaince ppt.

you cannot defend alliance m8's if you cannot kill strike supers m8. If that were so then I would agree there is no need for nox or repair. The repair is a luxury anyways..I just think to alter it ther ought to be a good reason for it and some mechanics changes to go along with it. If the crap reverts back to the way it was who would stop me from massing every allaince and every member in the game again? the only thing that will slow that is alliance repair, ppt and such. Think about it. I wouldnt have to have coverts or a defense to do it either so there is no defense against it and no stopping it.

Hmm maybe just a simple update like making the attack power the first line of defense and then when thats gone the defense starts getting pounded.
Everything is killable that way.

We will figure out a unanimous viable plan, I think off the top that a combination of things is the best..you dont want styles stopped while at the same time people who are able should be able to defend against it..meh, lets see how the council goes.

Except now isn't it such that the units are killed more quickly than the weapons. I certainly felt this way when being massed after the updates

I think its just BS that something gets changed because a couple people go whining about it because it doesnt suit them or they cant mass..Ill tell you this much, I dont see weaker alliance crying about getting something changed but dammed if some strong ones dont do it.. :mad: and dont think I dont know who you are.

I agree.

If you are not winning a war you dont go to the umpire crying to change the rules mid play.
Its beyond sad, its pathetic.

The game needs systematic reviews and improvements not selfish whiners.
