Aye, jix is right, Covert agents help you repell enemy recon and sabotage missions, Anti-coverts give you a chance to kill enemy spys on a successful raid or attack.

The covert level and number of spys don't actually matter as such, basically it's your overall covert Score Vs the enemies overall covert score, if they have more they have a chance at sabotage working, the more of a gap they have over you the more chance it has of working.

You could be very high covert level with relatively few spies or lower level with more spys, what counts is the score in covert skill.

Remember you can set your Realm Alert level to critical and that is usually enough to stop someone sab'ing you providing you have a half decent covert, it costs a lot in per turn income though so use it wisely.

There is no reason you cannot set realm alert level as soon as a new turn starts, then set it to normal just before the next one, you risk a small chance of being hit, but as long as you are fairly quick setting it and monitor the turn times you can effectively have critical Alert level 99% of the time, yet not loose any income :)

There is some question about that actualy... whether or not you still get 100% income, but ATM i agree.

I might add that going RA crit will only come close to doubling your covert.
So it isn't nearly complete sab protection. just be aware of that.

Right... :?
I am refering to my questions in the thread below.
I have been experiancing what is either odd coincidences or a bug/new coding.

That aside the bail out right before turn tactic works perfectly.

You mistake me mistaking addict. :)
