Well do u guys want a story line to go with this game and the story line could be somehow tied to the game we are playing like

The Wraith have invade the Ilda and the Milky way Galaxy

let say a certain amount of players can be wraiths and they can't attck each other and there goal should be get ## amount of Wriaths in the top 10 and hold it for XX amount of turns. the wraith would get a huge advnatges technology and other things to get there goaul and the rest of the players can eaither go with the story and try to keep the wraith from achieving there goal

but the wraith is only a temporary race to play because of the story line

and each story can be changed through out each wave

Sounds like a great idea, if tought out well

Nice idea but coukld really use a lot more refinement and possibly anyone else wanna post a suggestion for a story line?

Story lines would probably work better for the Quantem Wars server. One possiblity is a storyline based on the TV show involving keeping the replicators from winning. How about if the replicators occupy all of the 10 top ranks then they win otherwise they loose

i think there should be a more generaler story and if forum ever decides to restart it should be built more around a story!

Does anyone rember this in game update:

"The tokra have weakened the goa'uld, but have also given false information to some. The universe doesn't take sides or care about you- it just is!"?

Well, it coinsided with the stir that the mouth of the tokra was causing in the Goa'uld forum! I thought it was a brilliant idea! Focus the ingame updates "the storylines" around actuall players, events on SGW!!!! Conflicts/alliances that are the hot topic in these forums, massive wars between alliances etc. It would be cool if pulled off correctly:

"Commander libra has dethroned Elusive once more! destroying his weapons and defences upon his return to our galaxies! His PPT has expired, leaving him fair game to his powerful enemies in the galaxy!!"

"_apophis__ has managed to destroy his ememies in the galaxies again!! Reclaiming his rightful place as NO#1 Many have fallen in his path!"

Etc, not trying to choose sides but do you get the picture? Good, I can stop!

Something like a stargatewars newsbulletin. It would be very nice, but who would provide the info? Who decides what is worth putting up there?

No, it wont work. If you want the storylines, you're gonna have to visit the forums. There you'll find all the latest on who smashed who's face and whatnot.

The asgard have created a weopon to destroy the Replicator infestation XX amount of rep units have perished

What if each race would save up something together to do something to another race?
The saving up would take some time to reach, and 1 race could be there quicker then the others.
When this point is reached this will unleash something to another race.

These messages could symbolize certain races gaining more power, or getting closer to their ownership of the galaxies. Just as long as they are not literal!!!! (that would suck for anyrace!!)

slepnir: I could see how this would work with a news forum. Your right, a very thin line. What some care about is worthless to others. With the news forum (I'd rather not call it a gossip forum but thats what it would be!),
we could determine by a number of RE: to posts what is a hot topic in the galaxies, and what is not! The admins could write a brief discription of its significance to the SGW game on our command center page?? I'd volunteer but I'm affraid I do not deserve the honors!
