Is it possible to upgrade units

Sometimes I attack more experienced players and get slaughtered. I would like to know if it is possible to be able to upgrade my troops inorder to attack higher ranked players? I also wonder why do I do so bad when I attack certain players? I would like to know how can I attack the other player and defeat them.

Ascending is kinda like upgrading your units...

ok, 1. train them as soldiers, then super soldiers. 2. ascend. This makes you get waaaaaaay better weapons and ascended bonus and other things. It helps a lot, and also, units do nothing without weapons, and it is good to buy the best weapons. And, spy people first, I bet you usually attack people with zero defense and they deal 3 damage, and then you attack someone with a big defense. This is a shocker if you are new.

to be able to hit someone, your strike has to be bigger than their defence.
As you are new, train your covert lvl to atleast 29 and then train spies.
Before attacking anyone always spy what their def level is, best sticking to 0 def ppl until you grow.
Also, buy attack mercs as well as training supers.

could try the old raid with a rock method. Just have one attack guy with one weapon, which makes it cheap for repairs. Raid people in the lower ranks, i would say 8k or lower. Use the raid function and raid others for 30k+ a hit, remember to set war to gain more UU per hit.

29? when I was new, I never got it above 27... that's just me being a noob though.
