I was wondering this and thought it would be a good discussion to talk about. I would like to know your opinion about the two races if they fight each other. How would a battle between the replicators and the Borg play out if they fought eachother.


Oh and no spam answers with a sarcastic answer to them. Don't say Chuck Norris would win or any answer that is not related to the subject.

I would be guessin born cause they adapt. While it would be a micro machine organism vs large machine organism the nature of the born is they take over adapt and use their enemies against them. I would think replicators would end up with in the service of the borg..

Lone you do knwo that Replicators "adapt" too lol... I mean they form into human beings to talk to us... thats adapting...

Borg... they can capture new hosts, so it has replicator and Jaffa powers or w/e. I've never seen Stargate.

I kinda when I saw em thought they infest into the host but I will admit my SGW knowledge needs improving but either way I think eventually they would end up in symbiosis with a mutual goal, to assimilate or destroy all..

Replicators! They would kick pansy borg butt. U get just one of them on your spaceship and bam, next thing you know there are a million of them and they've taken over on a course directly to your home planet, bam they crash land onto your home planet and take it over. replication, replication, domination. + they can replicate out of any kind of metal (even from an old submarine remember) what do borg replicate from? organic life forms right ? which takes kindof a slightly long process to hook them up to all the machines and stuff (i know more about sgw then star trek)

Replicators would win easily. They could pose as a Borg to gain access to a Cube. Then cannibalize the ship to replicate and take it over. Or if some replicators could dissolve the nanite bonds, their energy would be released into subspace as pure energy. Just like in SGA episode Ghost in the Machine. And overload the ship causing it to blowup. And if they are Asurans just launch countless drones at the Borg until destroyed.

Now if you posted this question on a Star Trek related forum, then you might get some people saying the borg would win.. haha.

I have 2 questions that i think will shed like on my opinions (replicators win)

1) How do you kill a human form replicator without a disruptor. Noting that most of the "phase" weapons in StarTrek are energy based, hence no effect on a replicator.
2) What happens when the mind of a borg is destroyed? Since the mind of the host is intact, but implanted with devices

Replicators.

the Borg have no known anti-personnel weaponry save for their ability to assimilate BIOLOGICALS. since replicators are not biological, the borg would be helpless against them, until they could figure out how to fight the replicators, which by then, the Replicators would've at least devoured most of the borg's technology, and know how to defeat them even more effectively.

The Borg 1.Adapt to weapons and 2.Use weapons designed to hurt specific enemies.

Replicators don't need host like the Borg they just need the basic metal materials of the ship that they board. And when you see one replicator there are now hundreds of them on board.

They are also immune to all energy based weapons.
