Hey guys,

A friend of mine who wants to try the game out cannot load the game at all,

http://gatewars.com//index.php

When he goes there it just says page cannot be displayed, he has tried the other link that admin used to give out,

http://65.61.200.113/stargatewars.com

This worked for him, but it now leads to the dev server, and the link to the live server does not work from that page,

Does anyone know the new URL link with the IP at the start to get the game page to load???

He has tried, FireFox, Google Crome, and the new IE, all give the same problem

So im guessing its something to do with the domain, although its not the first time ive heard of this problem occuring.

To be honest GC, I think that IP link is still right but has a wrong homepage - ie: if you use that link but take off the "s" it takes you to the real beta....

Plus it has "live" stats.....unless admin is now using it as a backup site, I can't see how it is the "dev" site.....

its a dns problem from his ISP i had that problem once

that happens to me sometimes so I manually type in the characters then it works

new router fixes the DNS problem well it did for me

whos the internet provider? try to use their browser

i had AOL did the exact same thing to me had to use the AOL browser to access most sites

That address works. I just tested it. It appears it's the live server, unless the DEV server is mirrored perfectly in time...

If you connect to http://65.61.200.113/stargatewar.com/ it will connect you the DEV server.

I have the same issue since the weekend, cannot access anything related to sgw or sgaw, saying the page cannot be found. I heard people had this issue in past, I think I also had it once or twice but I don't know if this time it will work out.
I had to use a proxy to access the forums, otherwise any web browser, and even the local public wifi internet accesses (from same internet provider as I have) don't manage to access the sites.

Sounds like a DNS issue like other posters have said. Instead of using the ISP's DNS, use openDNS, fixed a lot of my problems years back when my ISP was screwing up... They fixed the problem but I'm still using openDNS lol

Go to Connection settings, right click then properties, IP4 properties and manually enter the following into the DNS fields.

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Hopefully that solves the problem
