The largest amount of snow recorded in the UK this November was 34 centimetres. That was in Northumberland. Dundee is a close second with around 30 centimetres of snow.

And that was in a couple of days. That's extremely heavy for our climate here.

I'm in county durham, we got 6 inches over night (lucky us

) and we have had several inches each day since saturday,
the buses are sort of running, the new schedule reads : the buses are running
on time as follows : sometime, next time, time out...
as for cars, hope you remember which pile yours is under. if not, grab a shovel and guess.
on the bright side, my college is closed, yay me! I got the week off, the down side is: the kids schools are also closed... daggnibbit...

Its pretty bad here in Ireland..but i was talking to my grandma in Romania earlier to make sure shes ok and she told me that in the village she lives in..there hasnt been any cars running through it in the last 2 weeks at all because the snow is 1.2m deep everywhere and half a meter on the main road.
Now that sucks

In one of the villages or Durham itself? I'm in Durham (Neville's Cross) - I reckon there must be over a foot and a half in the garden....nothing like a snowball fight in your PJs

I like the snow - just worried about the inevitable flood or ice which will follow it for the next fortnight

oooo a neighbour, I'm in Bishop Auckland, and my Mam's in Crook (along with most of the rest of extensive family....)
and snow ball fights in pjs? are you INSANE... brrrr, hot chocolate and cookies in front of a roaring, erm, radiator...

I don't even need to have a snowball fight to get a bloody cold. >_<
To go out in pjs just cries out insanity.

Yeh Repli...weve got that on Whinney Hill atm, had some properly good snowball fights all round this area. Durham ftw. Unfortunately with our course we have only had one lecture cancelled so far..no fun.
