Log in bug/feature?

When logging in I only require the first letter of my username to get in (along with other correct details)
eg. S - works
as does Sq
as does Squee.
I'm not sure whether this is a bug or a feature though, but I presume it could pose a thread to security...

no really a threat at all as everyones names are given to you in the attack page then you have their msn adress then all your missing is their password
so the only 2 that need to be kept safe are e-mail+pass
and yes it has been pointed out

yea another reason why its not a good idea to use your MSN addy for your email.

How can it effect security?
If someone were to try hack you they would have to know your in game name anyway

Know if it was just the first character for username, email, password it would be a big deal..
It also makes it much easier when logging on with a phone, and not have super special characters...

It has been that way with ascended login for years, don't know how long it exists on Main though.
