Does anyone recommend any really good Anti-Spyware Programs?
I've had my new computer for a few months now, and I have yet to find one that I can really trust (that is free, of course) and keeps the program up to date with registry crap, etc.
Thanks! <3

nearly all the ones i tried ended up being viruses

Try AVG or Norton they have built in things that could help.

This is a very good tool, but I would highly recommend using it in conjunction with ad-aware, both tools on their own miss issues, but combined seem to do a pretty good job.
I use both of these, as well as malwarebytes...

I have used these 2 for countless years, but I also use them with Norton Systemworks 2003 (which isnt available anymore), reason for Systemworks 2003 is cause it has INFINITE licenses, after 2003 they all require you to purchase a new licenses each time it expires. Regardless if your looking for free programs these two are about as good as it gets! and Ad-Aware Pro is worth the money. Malwarebytes is great as well!

Norton is way overrated, and AVG..well...barf.
I personally would recommend Avast, because it has a free version that is better than most paid software, and it also has a PRO version that includes a firewall. I would recommend Avast Free edition over anything, and I am speaking from experience.
Spybot Search & Destroy isn't bad either, however,

all free version of commercialized softs are craps if u want to protect sensitive data, if not then just get one and dont bother much, maintain it updates and if u see u ve infections, then reboot in safe mode and scan/remove them.
i tested ComboFix its a tool not a full software but works on the right lvl to wipe threats
u can use it just to scan and remove not for online protection, spybot is good aswell.
if u want heavy stuff then go for avg or spyware doctor

ad-aware is annoying as hell i dl'ed it and Del'ed immediately
Norton i wouldn't Dl also as it sucks and is "Over Rated"
AVG -Easy to use no issues
haven't tried any of the others except "Spybot search and destroy"
which nearly every free Edition online has a Virus /Trojan Horse inside each file (I tried 3 different sites)
Avg Cleaned my pc of them all thank god.

avg was taken over bij microsft somewhere last year, ever since that 8 version came out with, the free version of the commercial brother, avg became slow and ... annoying ...
I would recommend the free version of antivir rather.
but this isnt realy about antivirus.
With spyware, adware, visrusses comes one of the best products to prevent is it is the user itself and his or her comon sense.
I helped a lot of people in the past with comptuers and one of the most mentioned lines I say to ccustomers
"A computer functions as well as the one using it knowing how to operate it".
When you visit a page which instantly says "Donwload this activeX" and you have no idea why it shows up or why you need it, dont allow it.
When yo install crap software, disable all toolbars and advice programs and preferbly keep your own home page too.
When downloading software from torrents or p2p make sure you use an active virus scanner when opening packages.
Keep your operating system up to date, most of the comon malecious software simply use bugs or exploits which have been patched.
When retrieving digital information from a total stranger, think twice before opening it. (great example, 'I love you virus')
There are dosens more .... but comon sene of not wanitng to have something negative in you computer should be a default starting point when obtaining or wanting to obtain digital information.
