The top section of this forum is labeled General but its anything but General, if you mention anything in any area of that forum that is general chat not related to the game, it gets moved to the spam section which in all fairness is really reserved for a very select group of people,

Why not change the name of General to, Ingame Chat,

And actually make a General Section, so that all those who want something to talk about, dont have to go hunt it out in the spam section of the forum when its moved without ghosting from other areas of the forums.

I would say the 2 most used areas of the forums are General, and GC, anything else has no chance, if you want your community to remain solely based and only able to talk about ingame related stuff, expect your community to dwindle more and more each day.

the genreal chat section is the this that and those tforum, which isnt spam, and is where your weather thread was moved too.

Misc is not spam, though I can see how you could come up with that. Misc is for that stuff not related to the game, only a part of which is spam. General has been in game related for as long as I remember, though usually some things are allowed in there for a select period of time, with the biggest thing being Birthdays.

Though perhaps you are right, a section for general chatting about non game issues could be helpful, though I'm sure another mod will come along telling why that is not a good idea.

Maybe we could move the chat area up, so that its right under general, that way im sure it would be more used than it is now, just an idea.

i mean i don't think its a big problem. Its just that if there is ever a topic that people want attention for, its stuck in general, like Birthday threads, and other things, where they are sometimes allowed 24 hours in general.

Having a general chat area in the general area might be an idea to consider.

can we put everything related to the game at the bottom of the forum? below the archives and everything?

i dont see why change is needed. the forum works fine as it is.

well i do believe that "this, that and those" is more than enough for these general threads and imo is far underused.

I find using "view new posts" helps me wander into new areas of the forum i might not be a regular too. but then, not everyone uses it.

i use that thing too. i get to see every thread easily...

i agree with this munchkin.

although view active topics never shows you alliance announcements for some reason

I guess that could work if possible... The opinion of the Misc God Solus must be gotten.

How can you not find TTT? Its not exactly hard to scroll down a wee bit to find it. Maybe re-name it from the fairly random "this & that, those & them" to something more easy for people to understand.
I dont have any problem with it being moved really, just curious who cant find it.
Also, the spam section isnt just reserved for a few people...anyone can post in there if you pluck up the courage to venture into the long grass where the pokemon reside.

I ask all of you not to forget to this is a game related forum. While I do understand and encourage the discussion of non-game related topics in order to strengthen the community, I still think that the discussion of the game should come first.

The area provided for non-game related discussion is TTT& T as well as the various thematic sections (books, music, tv etc) that can be found in Misc where they belong as General should be game related only.
