Buck of Briton v Tekki of Delta - lances at 20 paces!

Once upon a time, there as a fair damsel in distress, so desperate was she and hounded by foes that upon finding a slumbering knight did she take sustenance from his provisions. A note of explanation was left for the knight and the damsel departed, for her journey was long and her enemies were close.

The knight, upon awakening reported the missing provisions to his companions and they did go to attack the poor damsel, who fortunately managed in due course to escape but only after taking hurt. The knight was well pleased and returned to his rest.

Time passed and all around the universe shifted. How did it shift! Cities rose and fell. Events became memory, memory became history and then faded.

And so it came one day, far after the forgotten events of the past that the knight did proclaim his prowess to all and sundry.

A shout of dispute came but little heed was taken.

Further did the knight proclaim his prowess but a voice was oft heard to chuckle a denial. Sore pressed was the knight and vexed was he, for he knew of no reason anyone would deny his valour and thus it was that he sort out the speaker.

Search well did he, and he came upon the long forgotten damsel.

“My lady,” he spoke. “Thou seemest to doubt my prowess. For what is thy reasoning for have I not always accepted all challengers?”

“Fair knight,” came the reply. “There is no doubt in mine mind about thy lack of prowess.”

“My lady, thou woundeth me!”

“Fair knight, thou did not woundeth me, and there is the certainty of my belief.”

“My lady,” the knight said after further details were exchanged, “those were different days. The days were I once bore the standard you now carry. I tell thee truly, for because one did not have to prove ones valour, I have stepped away from the standard you carry.”

The damsel considered the fair knight’s words.

“Fair knight, though hast indeed stepped away from the standard I now bear but thou still claimeth to have taken on all comers and this claim doth bring rancour to mine heart.”

“Then my lady, thou leaveth me no recourse but to prove my valour upon thee.”

And thus was the battle between the fair knight and lady agreed upon to proveth to the lady that the knight was one of fair prowess and valour.
The version in understandable english though I would request that people keep their minds out of the gutter and don't ask why I, a replicator, chose a medieval theme.

In the wee dim dark ages of the past when Buck was in Omega, I hit him for DMU that I REALLY needed at the time. He didn't hit me back but had others do it and there were a few PM's exchanged. Anyway, I remembered and for various reasons was annoyed and therefore a while back Buck actually asked why I was antagonistic to him. I explained and we decided to have a vendetta. At some stage.

The stage has been very long in coming since I think we agreed... um.... 10 months back or so. But anyway...

The rules have been agreed upon and are something like as follows:

 • No planets
 • No alliance help - aka no using the alliance functions we both have access to.
 • Full MS and 1trill min defence once a day
 • PPT to be decided at mutually beneficial time
 • No ascension
 • No officers
 • No commanders
 • No hitting the rest of the alliances (by us) - aka neither of us will go farming the others alliance for the duration
 • Market reset to market reset.

That seems to be enough rules though we both reserve the right to change them should that be required.

Have fun Buck of Briton. I know I will. :D
It's about time we got our teeth into each other, though I fear tekki has bigger teeth than me... Either way on my iPhone, will come back and edit this post this evening to make it big and slightly more explanatory, although as tekki pointed out, I had my cronies do her in a while back. Now it's pay back time. For her. For the first time I find myself slightly nervous before battle... Let's get it on!

Please let us not go there as this is far different from the Ashes unless of course you are talking about the very first Ashes...

couldn't care less who 'wins'.

I hope both have fun, and to see some roleplaying posts to stick a middle finger up to the people saying roleplay is dead because of the races.
Chris sits up high in his mothership, watching all the little people in their chainmail battle it out on a field. He secretly wants to press the big red button that says fire, but resists the urge.

This isn't about who wins rather it is about proof of valour. CJL the events I spoke about in the first post are years and years ago. It was at a time when Buck was in Omega and I was in Ascended Empire and it's quite amusing that I am now in Delta. Yes I have a very long memory about some things.
The knight and the Lady looked up before the battle was joined, their eyes looking through the confines of the planet to the space beyond and they both shared the same smile. There were watchers and some of them were tempted, so tempted to help out what was no doubt seen as a primitive battle but that would be a bad assumption and the true selves of the Knight and Lady would be ready to show the watchers the truth.

Buck you should never hurt a lady!

Unless of course the lady is armed to the teeth with missles, lasers & hatchets.

Be epic, both of you.
