A player took my planet. When I try to take it back, I get the following message: Failed to get a planet to get/get back!

I have tried to take it back several times, I get that message, and I am not using up any attack turns. and my fleets are not being damaged and attempts to take it back are not being recorded in my attack logs.

sounds like a glitch :S
have you tried to take it without the retake button? jus curious

No and now there is no retake button, so i am wondering if he has abandoned my planet.

Well why dont you look at his account and see if its there or not and stop whining about if you think he did or not.
