well, don't...Its a public forum and if they want to have a conversation they can do it in private

i get how you would feel that way, but I am one to butt in and state an opinion if i have one, and this is a public game forum. no need to feel rude about it. in fact if the convo is something less than public matter(or more than a private issue), then those involved should feel rude for airing their dirty laundry

If I'm in a serious conversation, arguing with some individual - I will just overlook posts made by any other person. However, most of the time, some smart ass loves to just stick his nose in without knowing whatever is going on and ends up belittling me. So what do I do? Kindly tell him to GTHO.

if you (anyone) couldnt post for the first time in a particular topic (particularly GC, where they stretch for 100+ pages sometimes) you would just keep seeing the topic go in circles

yeh ok, I can see how its ok to have an opinion anywhere, but then no one actually pays attention to what ive said, then I feel ignored.

well with 28 posts you are hardly known, so speak up make yourself known and they will listen eventually or mass .. depends lol

yeh that's true i suppose, its like it takes forever to be known. Do ppl really ignore me coz I dont have a lot of posts?

best place to get known is the spam temple.. make friends in there first

Nope not because of your posts. But imagine your at a party and you havnt met anyone there before, if you just walk up to two random people talking and start talking about whatever then your not going to make many friends. You need to talk with people for a while before you can pick up some in-jokes and stuff. Try and project your personality onto the forums with every post you make so people will understand who you are and remember you, then your more likely to be included in topics.

I suppose it depends what part of the forum you're more interested in.
If you're a known spammer, you may not be as taken as seriously in the general area.
Or even if you're not known ingame, you may not be taken as seriously in the war area.

But then there are sections like TV, Movies, Sports, Debate section, TT&T where everyone is welcome.

If you have a valid point, it is almost always welcome. If you do not, as Noobert said, GTHO.
