Hello Everyone,

Most of you would not know but the state i live in within australia (queensland) is 75% under water....the biggest floods have hit us in over 100 years. Im lucky my suburb has not been hit...there are 40,000 people in QLD that will lose houses....power is out....fruit and veg supplies have been cut off....I was stuck at work the other day and had to sleep at a friends house and was unable to get home to my family.

Today i made a mad dash home....i do not drive so i had to catch a taxi home after i got half way home....it cost me $80 for a cab and it took us 5 try;s before i could actually get home...the last road into our suburb will be cut off by morning. Im not sure how much longer we will have power and im not sure when the next time i will be on here.

To any other members that are in queensland please stay safe and if it looks like others are leaving their homes for higher ground then GO! its better to have a totalled house then to lose ur life.

Huggles Odin, please climb the nearest mountain and hopefully in a few days we will hear from you again - though I imagine you will be a bit wet.

Be well. Stay safe.

Try and keep safe mate, (and the same goes to everyone else) have seen the damage on the TV but its hard to understand the scale and the devestation. Saw waters flooding down Queen Street and cars being washed away and Queenslanders swept off their supports.
The loss of property, livelyhood and wages is real bad as is the shocking loss of life.
Take care and take no chances.

been watching the news coverage on WIN... hoping all my SGW mates from Qld are staying safe

Brisbane, Australia's 3rd biggest city is currently being flooded, with water expected to peek there at 4am their time ... (roughly 3.5hrs time)

Flood water is also headed for NSW....

Some places have been flooded for the 2nd time in as many weeks..

My heart and prayers go out to all effected

good luck to all those living in QLD, and my old town of Grafton on the NSW north-coast

7.7m (not sure if thats now or today's high) against the 8m levee walls in town
the bigger problem is outside of town where the levees are not so high and places such as brushgrove, maclean and towns further up the clarence river

i know what its like to experience flooding, even if it never made it to the front of our block, it was a difficult time
