Plan a strike at a certian time, get everyone all riled up on MSN first through Chat, then go for a Team mass... just like the old days, does anyone still do that? I miss it, the actual massing, Sabbing killed the game in my eye's it's to powerful and depletes the actual war style of the game, but thats not up for discussion sorry, anyways yeah... does anyone still have the team work, the compassion for the game like the old days, I think thats whats killing it something should be done

Planning a coordinated massing/sabbing of an enemy alliance is a wise and effective move. I'd still do it

I'd still do it too, but I don't... and no one I see does anymore unless I am wrong...

DDE does it for fun and to enjoy a good teamwork. But we don't plan it we just automatically work together so well. It really isn't an option for us.
And I know Omega Allegiance does it when needed, they have crazy MSN Convo's.
Back in 2007 we in The Legion did it almost every night, me, Svarun, eX, Blahhh, Zesh, MadCat, Couzens and the rest of the old gang. Sometimes a few times a day. And it never got boring.
I agree, it used to be so common but has changed a lot. I think team work is a big part of why the game is so much fun.
In 2005-2006 all alliances had to do it, there was always one heavy masser, medium/small masser, Sabber, AC'er and MS killer.
Today it's different but it requires other types of skills which can be interesting and fun.

This was very common in Maelstrom, atleast once a week we teamed up 6-10 players and went at it..
Delta does it when needed. great advantage when massing and/or sabbing..

We have done it to nearly all our Enemies anyone with a big defense we have always calculated the best effective way to do it with the amount of players on at that time and has always worked

expecally lots of fun

-shrug- I would imagine most alliances do it when required. But the claim that sabbing killed massing is interesting. Sabbing at 4/8% was over powered, it's currently at 3/6 % so isn't that bad and what this means is that it actually does something, rather than being under powered as it was. Sabbing was used previously, the fact that it's used more now means it's a more effective tool, nothing more, especially with the alterations to massing. But that's not really the discussion point here.
As needed I would imagine alliances get together to mass. Delta does, Ascended Empire did, I really can't imagine an alliance that didn't need to do it at some stage even though yes, some members may be able to mass anything they want, company is always fun during those times.

Ricos did a few times, but game mechanics means now one player can decide to mass a WHOLE allaince

Whats the point when it only takes one of your enemy to press alliance repair / PPT button , you get all riled up and click it's over.
Someone please assassinate the king of bad updates admin Jason, and fake a will leaving the game to the ever helpful admin Sue

I think most alliances still do it, or at least those that want to take down big(ger) fish.

Even with small fish, it's nice to sab out a defense then have a teammate kill the supers and ac the spies.
