Ok, so the carling nations cup has started this week and after week one, the table lies like this:

Republic of Ireland 1 1 0 0 3 0 3 3
Scotland 1 1 0 0 3 0 3 3
Northern Ireland 1 0 0 1 0 3 -3 0
Wales 1 0 0 1 0 3 -3 0

So, Do we think that the table will finish come the end of this competition?

I think not, Wales have some promise and are seemingly starting fresh. The Republic are having problems with their manager and players. Scotland always give it a go. And you should never underestimate Northern Ireland.

All I know is that this is a very positive tournament for all involved and improves relations. Also, I think I might pop down to Lansdowne
road for a match or two in may.

Another noticeable factor is that, considering most of the players play in Scotland and England so it saves unsavory trips into mainland Europe, or even further. Nice to see young lads getting some games too.

no bale, no bellamy. Wales could be a threat when they are back, Bardo for Scotland is a rock for club atm, so could be difficult scoring past them, especially if Gordon gets back in goal for them.

However, I think RoI have the better squad in terms of mixing youth with those with **Filtered** of caps. Par exemple, Keane, Gibson, Duff.

Duff was really good in the bit of the match I saw (second half) against Wales.
