I must be missing something. I thought for 100bil these things would come loaded with defenses and cool stuff. It seems like a waste of cash to me when you can just add to planet defenses. How are they used to make them worthwhile?

um beacaius at max plaet size it costs 3x as much for 1 def structure on the planet than it does a platform

also your limmeted on how many def structures a planet can have...not the case with plAtforms

Actually both costs for platforms and natural defenses change over time. They also have different effects against fleets, with each having a benefit. I know larger planets are basically unlimited amount of defenses because of the cost to build that many, and I have yet to hear of a platform being maxed out.

Any decent number of defenses on a planet is going to cost at least 6 tril per 100k (300 bil).

Natural Defense starts higher, but increases slower, while Platforms start lower, yet increase by 3 tril in cost for every 100k you build.
