New to the game (again)

Hello, Gateworld community! I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I'm Morgan, and I used to play about 3-4 years ago (can't quite remember), but I got bored and gave my account away. Just yesterday I randomly decided to come back and see what's changed, and I'm having fun.
Is the community still alive? That was my favorite part of the game last time around.

community is still here though there are a lot of changes. Some things turned to good account, many changed for the worse.
Some because of the Admin, some because of MGM

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!
So, looking at how many times you guys are ascending these days, is there any point in trying to catch up? Should I just try to defend myself with charm instead of bothering with military power?

well, I suggest ascending a few times (at least until LG+1) and then joining an alliance in the no ascended blessings house, that way you don't need to ascend 20+ times to be able to compete with all those high ascended accounts

I was Morganskywalker. I wasn't anybody, I ascended a few times, but never made it to powerhouse level. The game was very entertaining, but after a while I got bored. Even if that happens again this time, I have a good year or two of fun.

They'll remember you.
Hope you can make some new friends. Did you find an alliance to join yet? They can be good fun and help you get reacquainted.
