I think we have all had our magic moments when you lose a connection and its very irritating
Murphy's Law is that if its going to happen, it will happen at the worst possible moment...
The game has been working ok today on the east coast of Australia.
I heard that a few players from different places of the States could not log in where others could.
Probably related to ISP or regional lines.

Wow I didnt realise Jason had to intervene.
Totally weird then because its been working fine all day where I live in NSW Australia and for other players in our chat group from Pennsylvania USA, Ottawa Ontario and Romania.
That's why I thought it might have been a problem with some international or regional cables.
Anyway Daz, sorry to hear you had such bad luck. I know it smacks. Its happened to me a few times too.

C2, that's enough!
The game was apparently out for more than one person in more than one country. Even if it was up for others. That would probably indicate that there was a connection link down somewhere for the IPs and companies involved, hence is not necessarily Admins fault and is probably the fault of the companies/IPs involved but still means that it was a genuine outage for those people who were affected.

Your right, thats enough!
Daz posted somwhere, theres insurance in RL for such acidents...
Am anouncing I will make these insurance for comunity... based on weekly payment. Of course all legal
PS: as for the connection, had some probelms with other games, payed multiplayer... I dont know company which will repay you some looses for net problems. Thats the point I wanted to make. Net is not real world, you cant control whole world providers, theyr net and services. If JAsons server fails, he always fix it, everyone knows that. I remember server PPTs many times, and rollbacks. Hes fixing 99% of serverwide errors.
This time its not firts time, when such problem happened. I remember I had same problem few times and others didnt have. If a player was farming, should he send Jason bill for "future farming"? Menas, if the game was working, he would farm aproximatly 1.5T per TC, game was down 7 turns... so 7 * 1.5T... thats... "Ah Jason, set a broker for 10.5T. Thanks."

thats different c2, idk if admin should or should not, and not gonna say if he should or should not, but this case is more along the lines of i have 250 t naq out, server is down for some and not others, i can't log in, i miss ppt, i lose all my naq, this wasn't my fault i missed ppt, it was because game was down for some and not others, and i couldn't log in, more so than saying broker me for what i was unable to farm, this is something he had, and was impossible to defend because of game being down, different circumstances than what u had just stated

Regardless, these are the risks of playing any online game. I remember when I was playing Halo a few years ago, had a great streak, internet shorted out or a server went down or something, and I lost the hundreds of kills I made up to that point. It's a risk we all take. Some of us with greater numbers than others.. but that doesn't change the facts.
Let's take a look at what we signed up for:

Pretty clear cut. This thread is an understandable expression of frustration. No one in their right mind can have any real hope they would get a refund.

For me, OpenDNS was reporting a problem with two servers between my location and
www.gatewars.comI rebooted, followed the steps OpenDNS recommended to no resolution.
Turned on my Blackberry and was back online.
A little later my officer reported same, in Windows 7, but working in Windows XP. That was same location for officer. So, that made me go
