Past vs Present.
Mothersip:
Rebuild every ascension/just rebuy weapons & shields.
Ascension with big stats:
Rewards in ascended/doesn't change much in ascended, people ascend with minima and they aren't disadvantaged ascension wise
Banking:
Costed to bank/is free to bank for ascended people (who are filled with advantages over unascended)
There doesn't seem to be much ingame challenge in the path of ascension or regular ressources dealing anymore (you don't have to rebuy MS, you don't see difference if you build with minima or monster prior to ascending, and you even have free banking with all blessings/strong weapons/ascended bonuses compared to unascended who don't have the fee anymore).
And unlike the first two examples I gave, bringing back 2% bank fee wouldn't cause a "storm" in the game. And what ZERO said. Would a little bit of spicying create a huge unbalance? To the contrary, it would rebalance with unascended ones. Why should the fee be removed altogether? Aren't there already enough things that have been changed in the path of making things less challenging in the path of gameplay as I pointed out?
