Merlin re-adjust while on VAC

Well i vent away for a week and put my acc on VAC, tho the merlin still kept counting as if the account was active.

It would be great to see that merlin would re-adjust on active days used.

I'd say they should slow down. 1 Merlin per 2 days RealTime.. for example.

Worth wild idea imo. Why should you loose saved up merlin time when you go on holidays. I don't think the plague takes affect when on vacation

It all depends on how you define Vacation.
Is it:
- a state of being within the game => 'withdrawn from our plane of existence', 'time dilation effect' (Merlin should expire slowly)
- a state of being outside the game => 'not in our (Game-)universe' (Merlin should not expire)

Either definition has their own consequences. Perhaps it could be a choice?
The Vacation-"Time Dilation Effect" allows for many more fun features such as a very slowly accumulating UP, slowly expiring MPDSD, a limit to attacks on the account, et caetera.
The Vacation-"Gone" would simply disable the account until the user returns.

Might be hard to update since Merlins count back from when you take them.

Although its a good idea if it can be done.

If you mean it says "Activated until this time" you could just swap it to a PPT style. And whilst on Vacation the timer just doesn't decrease

Hmm it is strange how PPTs count down minute my minute, and merlins run to a set date.

Id say this is something that can and should be fixed fairly easily

In relation to Juliet's comment, it's outside of the game universe. I mean, you don't have rank, don't produce resources etc.

I'm not clear on the current systems (haven't played in a while) but why not adjust it. Make it like PPT for the planets. The MTs add what 4320 minutes (60x24 x 3days) of merlin shift, and you can distribute that how you want. They count down like PPT. Unlike PPT, when they expire, they are expired, not lasting till next turn (cause of the abuse of 1 minutes every turn to roll till next), and when on Vacation, they just stop counting down, like you don't get rank, and you don't produce resources.
