corporal plane message?

I'm back to gatewars after a few years and go this message today trying to sab a player who I got into a little noob fight with
That realm has retreated from the corporal plane while the realm tries to recover from devastating attacks.
Why has this appeared? Is there a limit on me attacking him or something?

He has been phased. His Nox was activated and he has taken the maximum amount of hits.
Your attacks as well as all others on him count towards this limit. You will find this is a rather old function of Nox.
