when you reach the unknown.... does it just not let you ascend any further.... when you have your 1001 g and r, does the button come back?

It does not appear again.
Used to, that is how people ascended beyond the 20th ascension and Jason had to make up 3 names quickly. The 3 last ascensions are a stop-gap damage control measure.

well perhaps make it so costly that only an insane person such as myself would do it, perhaps double the g and r requirement every time after the 25th?

I think that at least the very last one was done by clicking his officers ascention link, not his own as it didnt appear to him,,,, but yeah, Jason isnt always real good a fixing things proper the first time LOL

He has mentioned rounding it to 25 ascentions tho,,,,, but no one really knows
