So I'm gunna go ahead and make this here thread.


Just watched the two Evangelion Rebuilds released so far. First one was in poor quality because of download so I wasnt totally sucked in. But then I was super impressed by the second.

Cant wait to see whats going on. When is the third one coming out?!

Should I bother watching the series as well?

series is pretty good, if a little trippy towards the end

I found the series to be AMAAAAZING.

but I have a soft spot for mechas and controversial subjects. Haven't seen the movies... Should really do that.

Now that I think about it.. I only got to episode 23 of the anime. >.> I couldn't find english subs of episode 23 (only spanish) mind you this was like 3 years ago, and gave up watching. Lol.

I was looking into Rah'Xephon, but something didn't click with me...

Yeah i heard the series was pretty trippy so decided to watch the rebuild. Fairly concise so far i guess! Easy to get into and the animation is pretty good.

Want to find somebody that can tell me if its worth watching the series after watching the rebuild.

First episode looks retarded. I've not been able to watch it all the way through simply because of the old style of graphics, but I flipped through the second and it looks amazing so I'll have to force myself to endure the next hour of this show in order to see the better part.

I'd say yes, watch the series. it's one of those things that you should do, if you like it or not, even if you just watch it once.

i mean for other genre's like school dramas and w/e, you have things like Haruuhi and Lucky Star (even though LS is more parody than anything else). its like evangelion to mecha.

its a classic, and "everyone" has seen it. I enjoyed it, personally, and I'd happily watch it again. its not something I'd re watch regularly though.

you may be talking about the TVA series. yeah i agree that in the TVA the writer was probably high towards the end xD

in the rebuild it doesnt have a **Filtered** ending so you may like it!


btw the third one, Q, is coming out 2012. dunno when in 2012 tho.

The series is really good, but the production costs ran so high the studio wasn't able to make the ending they wanted (read: the last two episodes are incoherent babble, and anyone that defends it is silly considering the studio itself admitted they simply ran out of money).

But End of Evangelion (a film/reworked final ending) was a decent send off. I'd definitely give it a watch.
