I agree in many respects. But given how well origins went due to admin activity and $$ spenders taking such a command early on due to game mechanics, a serious rethink would need to be made on certain aspects before it could come into play.
But yes, a new game is the way forward for this community for me.

I originally thought of Origins as a breath of fresh air. Now activity is low but i think there is still time to save it and/or create a new game.

The trouble is in the people who spent money on the game. To simply create a new game, or to delete the old one, you would have to find a way to appease them for .. bad investments. On second thought, bad investments are always the investor's own fault. Caveat emptor, like so clearly stated in the game's Terms of Service. Basically, admin owes the people who spent money nothing, due to the way the ToS are set up.
Resetting or even deleting the game are justifiable options. In the case of Origins, it'd require a more active administrator (project lacking management commitment). Curious thing, that.

Helpfull.
Why would people migrate to a new game after investing so much effort/time/money in this?
Wouldnt most people just quit if this game got deleted?
Why would the new game be any better?

Agreed, rather weak thought, that.
We should rather improve the current situation instead of changing venues, especially since in fact, the current venue still has so much opportunity to offer. Abandoning the game en masse would be an ill-conceived notion. Besides, people have been saying the game is dieing since right after it started.. don't forget, we ARE all still here.

heaps of games out there with flashy graphics etc, its not what makes this game so addictive?
how many have really stayed around for the game itself?

a new game would be nice an atlantis version of main would be cool, admin could take some of the suggetions for main that people thought were to bold or diffrent and use them to create a new game

On another note.
I would prefer a game which isn't about who plays the most or spends the most money.

In my opinion, if someone stops playing a game (which i believe most/all of the initial spenders have) then why should they get any compensation. They are not going to be effected by a reset or deletion as they are no longer involved. And I'm pretty sure the spenders have moved on and only a few still play, and have WELL surpassed the spenders.

We need a new game...
Try Monopoly
TBH I dont think there are enough remaining players to support more SGW games, the more games the less playing in each game.
What we need as we have always needed is for admin to listen to and discuss update idea's with the players, not just decide on courses of action off his own back or via the very small group who he has contact with.

sorry for getting to this so late but I've been busy with school and being massed.
At the last admin meet, there was talking of having a new server for <1 year old accounts, which after 1 year either reset to stay in the server or move on to regular main.
It has the potential to be an effective stand alone game because in theory it gives everyone who stays only in it a chance to be on top, which after they either reset back to the bottom or move on.
I know with only this level of detail it has holes and such that people would point out for abuse, but don't let that discourage you from pointing them out just to make I know of them and such need to fill them up as I create a detailed version of how to make it work.
