Haven't read the books....but the first episode looked pretty interesting.

And nice to see Jason playing his usually loquacious role ;)

i've also been told about the books but have yet to read them

yeh 2nd season has a greenlight, not entirely surprising considering the way HBO have been pushing this

Books are good to explode your vocabulary.
The reason I didn't say "expand" is the massive influx of creative neologisms and archaic expressions in your memory those books provide.
Very good. ;) Recommended.

**Filtered**. I don't even watch this show (Maybe in the future I might check it out if people say it's a good one) and all I saw lately was ads on TV for it while watching Hockey. :(

So far, I like where this show is going. I just wish the episodes had more in them...I wanna know what happens next!

we thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, though we paused it mid-episode to identify just where we recognized khal drogo from... The fact that he plays his usual silent fellow, and that we liked him before, makes us want to watch it even more...

we'd say song of ice and fire is better suited for TV-showification than most series, since the books aren't as defined wholes as most series are...

The fact that bodies were piling up by minute 3 or so, also helps... and that excellent world map animation...

Yes, no?
It could work if it didn't look so playbackey. :)
Sound is good, but the video makes it look like you're watching two separate tracks (A/V). ;)

I am in love with Daenerys. ^_^ (And I quite like her brother. Funny chap.)

Very, very good.

Lots of interesting characters, and well adapted from the books... This is one of few book series within fantasy that are suited for TV adaption without significant storyline changes...

The series "camelot" we've seen something and a half episodes of, having gotten off-track in the middle of an episode, that not an option here... one has to finish it...
