How do you feel about this? Discuss!

I won't state my opinion on this matter, as I'm just curious about what people think.

Bin Laden's death will make no difference to Al-Qaeda, in fact it could fuel the crisis further. Bin Laden was such a long time ago that his death doesn't mean as much as it would have if he had been killed at the start of Afghanistan.

Just get troops out of Afghanistan and stop **Filtered** up the rest of the world.

Moronic move. Would've been better to keep tabs and surveillance on him, and strip down Al Qaeda from the top down.

Typical re-election bullcrap.

Very interesting. An affront to all Muslims all over the world, for one. Second, this raises doubts with me. Why dispose of him so quickly, before anyone can see the proof of his death? Shameful, sickening behaviour by the US Armed Forces.

But then, a people which has been brainwashed enough to 'know' this man as Enemy No1 will believe anything you say. There are far more dangerous people out there, in the wild. Especially the 'unlabeled' ones. ;)

Or.. CIA decided to pull HIM back and interrogate him. Make everyone believe he's dead, and no one will go look for him. ;)

Good riddance and wow didn't expect to see that today  , but obviously it won't solve problems with Al Qaeda, and they will want to avenge him. Good news symbolic wise, but in terms of concrete effects, not that much, unfortunately.

Ah, might be that!

Depends what US policy will be from now on as to whether it is even good news for them -

if they're fully withdrawing then yes, it will be a great piece of propaganda, and will be celebrated far and wide

but if they are still in Iraq and Afghanistan come next year, well that will be a hard sell to the American public, given that enemy number 1 has been killed....

Either way, I wasn't expecting this when I logged in this morning....thought it was the usual spam till I checked it on bbc news :smt064

either way, they prevented his body being given a heros' funeral by his followers, which is definitly a good thing. as for leaving him alive and keeping tabs on him, I think the point was to prove that they never give up and no one escapes?

Have to say, I like the idea of him actually being captured and disappeared though, its very feasible. If its correct, we'll probably neever know though.
