i am new just trying to figure out what to do

One tip: MSN is useful to have in this game.

Raid and farm like there is no tomorrow.
Get yourself to rank 1579 or better to begin earning G&R (needed for ascension and to get trading abilities without using cash) "Glory and Reputation Score (gained > rank 1,579)"

Some may not be adequately educated in the terminology you swing at them

Raid: steal their untrained units (there is a button)
Farm: normal attack to take their naq. (there is no farm button SS )

And while we're at it:
Massing = attacking someone until their defence is gone, their mothership lies in ruins, and their covert troops are almost all killed.

This can happen to YOU too, so be ready for it. It happens to everyone, and some people start crying, but people who know and are prepared will be able to enjoy the game and mass others, as well as be massed themselves.

Actually, you can grow quite fast, just all the naq you accumilate you will need to spent quickly as your bank is smallish. (upgrade techs and MS)

Depanding on size (if your small) I'd say grow some first, then search for an alliance which is new player orientated (check alliance seeking recruiting section in the forum)

For naquadah, go through the inactive rankings, ie attack page 300 and higher, spy people with more then 30b out, and if they have 0 def, set to war and attack to take their naq.

Setting war helps in getting more naq from your hits, (that also goes for raids)
Dont be affraid to set inactives to war.

different guy, I think Clarkey.. original WS changed his names a couple of times before he left.. I believe whoever got WS old original acc wouldn't change ingame name or something
