''Vulture''

I know im bringing back old stuff but im interested to see if this vulture stuff is still as serious now a days then it used to be.
Just recently I've been called a 'vulture' for the 1st time ever for hitting some dude for 250b when the said person had 0 def.
As usual a few threats were recieved aswell...Your stats are gonna get massed etc..
Now i know some peeps don't like to be farmed..others don't care if they are and others build huge def during peace and war to protect their income.
I'm not trying to sound a big man here..but when i go farming i sometimes hit maybe 1-3 players in OE that have huge amounts of naq out with low def.
I don't go overboard as i know OE are well protected.
But now that Ricos and OE are at war..does this mean that im a ''vulture'' now for hitting 1 or 2 players for a few 100's bills at a time?
Now i know i used OE a fair amount of times as example..but obviously im talking about every alliance etc..
Also not trying to wreck anyone heads or create any bad blood or try to get myself out of anything im honestly just interested.
Cheers

Vulture is a dead term, 0 defense is 0 defense and if theres a good amount of naq there im going to take it whether they are at war or not

One could actively vulture if they only hit those for naq when their targets are at war with someone else, and the target is someone they would normally not hit.
On the other hand, someone with 0 def and 100's of b's out ... either should do something about their income, or have to rely on his or her alliance's reputation for warden off vultures.
Its a loosely used terminlogy, and occasionally gets applied inappropiately.
I guess, even vulturing can be seen as a strategy ... honorable, I guess not.
So yes, imo vulturing still exists, wheter or not is applicable to the one hitting may be disputed by regular player behaviour.

If someone has enough naq in relation to their defense to make it profitable for someone not at war with to hit them, then apparently their war opponent is slacking and/or they are not in a war to speak of.
Honestly, would a serious opponent leave you with that much naq so outside hits are profitable? I doubt that.
Thus, there is no such thing as a vulture

I've always hated the term vulture - if there is enough naq to make a hit worth it, then take it.
But be warned, if you hit someone, be prepared to accept the consequences

"Only when it's turn farming", outsiders who turnfarm people in a war, are vultures in my opinion. However, as Deni said, when people have quite a bit out despite tiny/zero def, it means the enemy side isn't paying attention enough.

Vultures took a turn into snipers. At least some vultures had defenses to mass, coverts to AC, and planets to steal. The snipers I've seen when in war a few times have none of the above.
There will always be snipers, so long as there is large incomes on small defenses.
That's just my opinion though.

Vultures don't exist fullstop, unless you are talking about the feathered variety.
There are always going to be wars and many people with 0 defences in a war during the times they don't log in (and often when they do even log in).
If your naq gets stolen in a war from someone outside the war "because" you had 0 defence then either accept that fact and move on, or retaliate, don't start name calling and saying you are a vulture. It has no purpose or meaning, just put up with it or respond.
In the old days people just used to throw the term vulture at anyone that hit them when they were in a war even if that person never uses the forums, but these dumb brains expect non-forum users to know exactly who is in a war or not. duh!
Vultures don't exist. It is only people taking an opportunity. Like it or not, fight back or not. Your choice, just don't use a non existent title.

Agreed
When at war and offline I prefer anyone to take my naq than let my enemy get it, especially now houses stop us from farming our own alliances when they are offline.
And since I farm everyone, to say someone shouldnt farm me would be hypocritical IMO, profitable hits are not personal or acts of aggression, they are just farming.
LONG LIVE THE FARMERS

Voted no.
Yet I find it funny that certain people complain about being hit while at war coz thats vulturing - but still say there are no vultures?
In the end, I'd prefer someone else gets it then the enemy I'm fighting

I always massed anybody who hit me for naq, regardless of who they were and whether or not I was in a war. I guess 'vulture' was a label invented by pansies and public relations obsessed alliances who didn't have the gumption to simply admit that they enjoyed throwing their weight around.

vul·ture
1.) any of a number of large birds of prey with a naked, usually brightly colored head and dark plumage, including the Old World vultures (family Accipitridae) and the New World vultures (family Cathartidae); esp., the New World turkey vulture: they feed chiefly or entirely on carrion and are found in tropical and temperate regions
2.) any greedy and ruthless person who preys on others
I voted yes, why cause well I suppose its true to some degree

Id rather see vultures around then one hit mass **Filtered**
