I just lost 3 years worth of ascended messages with no warning or notice whatsoever...



If I had the time and energy to devote to attending weekly admin meets to stop reckless updates,

I'd be cleaning my pad, or saving some senior center from budget cuts cuz the people in charge always act first, and think second...

maybe i will start attending just to see what sort of nonsense updates I can sneak under admin jason's nose, cuz this is Masking is not permitted

I just spent the past 18 hours doing anything but posting here,

for fear of what I'd say when I did post... to no avail.

Hmmm I noticed same after checking a pm and going back to inbox, well my inbox was mostly filled with war/neutral/peace declarations..but I don't see why now precisely?

cuz he saved the lot of them in a hidden file...

so now u have a saved box and an outbox...

to make it more like main... and to save him server space...

too bad he didn't think to ask what i might be willing to do or pay to save my gd messages...

lotta good the saved box does, u can still easily delete your messages by accident...

It didnt had anything to do with server space I guess, it was a request to add an outbox option from what I recall.

Did you use the delete all message button dubby ?

I haven't lost any messages, the outbox works fine it seems as well. Maybe Jason tripped something.

he set the same auto-delete in motion on ascended that is on main... u have like 3 months...

i have like 45 inbox messages...

problem is, there was no save button before...

so everything more than about 3 - 6 months old just got deleted...

because without a save button, my inbox was my saved box...



and i still don't have a mail count for my outbox or saved box on either server...

or my beloved checkboxes...

Ahh, Ok, I understand, I think he simply copied the entire main message system to ascended.

The automated message deletion is a side effect in this case :s

I wouldn't be nearly so pissed off if I didn't...

it's been a long while since I have won this many games of solitaire in a row...

to say nothing of games played in 24 hours...

many of my old friends on vac mode...

records of people's main / ascended accounts...

my old masking lists...


also, I am fairly certain it was not a direct copying of code...

as my ascended outbox has messages from me to me regarding everyone I have set war on in the past several months...

two board warnings...

I guess I should be glad that's all I got for my language...

even if I could count all my previous warnings on one hand...

Blame admin Jason? Seriously? For your lack of control? Tchk.

I for one am glad admin is looking at Ascended. So you lose a few messages. Bad luck. Should have kept them like I -and many others- do, save the important ones in Word/Excel/Notepad/wherever.

OKAY... what the hell is the point of having a saved mail box on ascended if they are just gonna get deleted anyway?

I am quite sure I didn't push anything... even though it is very easy to do so.

Dude all you've done in this thread is complain. Before you just posted that did you even stop to consider that they may have been deleted through a glitch? Be a bit more respectful and problems might get looked in to.
