Been looking forward to this, finally got it and it didnt disappoint. OK it's not perfect, some gaping holes in the plot, the EvilSouthernScully type baddy is rubbish and the concept is not very original. But the way it's shot, the scenery an atmosphere, the way Hanna shows her surprise and lack of understanding of normal things she has never seen or heard before while having a grasp on more knowledge & theory than most, and the realism of the fights which although far fetched seem far more plausible than most action movie fight scenes. All this and more makes for a great movie.

Mezz recommends you watch it :D

Finally got around to watching this and we found it quite enjoyable.

I watched it, and enjoyed it. It was a bit of a let down on the ending, and how fast they just got rid of the 'older' man or even what happened to that family.

We were actually a bit surprised at the fact that "hanna" was to some degree genetically engineered... None of what we had read about the movie before had said anything to that effect.

That's how it should have been, Zera. You shouldn't read about movies before you watch them!

Although, I think with today's terrible movies..you have to. :?

I agree, 'spoilers' are called that for a reason, hence why when I recommend a movie I try leave out details & twists.
This movie is far from perfect, lots of plot flaws, some poor characters, but IMO the Hanna Character was brilliant, and brilliantly performed, the innocence of someone born & trained to kill who learns who/what she is and chooses not to be that even when it means killing one last time.
One reason we did not know it is that we did not really read all that much about it.

From our impression, the changes were mostly minor, and explained more on how she could at such age surpass others that looked considerably stronger than her.
One thing that we ponder about is the how far those experiments got before termination, and exactly what they did.

Also. Will there be a sequel?

I didn't like it very much... It was dry and deppressing. The action scenes themselves were good, but I just couldn't get into em...
