Allow New Players to Catch Up - Idea Thread

So... the new Uni thing was shot down but Im still sure that the game can be saved

Not convinced it will but we'l see..
The big problem is bridging the gap between the average player and the new player without being unfair.. there is plague now but that didn't really help as everyone just bought stupidly high covert levels. I believe ALL cap ideas are wrong.. also removing anything from the game is completely wrong unless it completely upsets the balance.
Simple baseline suggestion: New players start with 5million lifers & 100k Untrained. First 10 ascensions only need 200GnR AND no ascension time-limit for first 10.Very simple change to the code. It lets people continually grow very quickly but overall doesn't effect those that have already gone far.
Comment on ideas but also add your own.. see if we can get the ball rolling.

completely misses the point of the root idea – to get players building and ascending fast and keep them interested.
Prior -> Incarnate requires 100 g&r.
LG -> LG+4 requires 200 g&r.
AG -> Immortal Ancient God requires 400 g&r.
Timeless -> King requires 600 g&r.
God -> Origin requires 800 g&r.
UnSpeakable through to UnKnown requires 1000 g&r.
Therefore taking 220.75 days from Prior to UnKnown.

Speeding up the ascending progress in time is the way to go me thinks.
Its not really about your starting resources or a lesser amount of G&R to gather.
Perhaps start the game now at Ancient God for new accounts?

Both of those would help.
Also the idea someone posted about reducing the level between 1-10
So Ascension 1 = LG
Ascension 2 = AG
Seemed to have merit.
Also give new players a minimum 20tril bank....give them ability to actually be able to bank some naq to grow...lets face it a 20tril bank is nothing these days.
Maybe as well as making game changes, change people's approach to people starting out, add an ingame button for all accounts under LG that say "Request Mentor". As a function it would do nothing, but admin could then group all those requesting this. People happy to offer assistance could post on forum and then the requesters can be linked up. Ideally this would all be ingame linked without forum intervention (as new people often don't come here first) just not sure how it would be coded. Maybe like the officer system, Have a tick box for anyone over a certain ascended level to "Mentor" and the game automatically pulls a "requester" in as an officer....a little bit off the wall idea I know....I blame lack of sleep and too much coffee

Well reduction of GnR is basically the best way to reduce time... it doesn't require massive changes in the code and it will change it from about 20 days collection to just 4 days

Maybe that is even too many!
The one problem I would have with starting at ancient god.. while a novel idea in theory.. is that it might be a bit too confusing for day one. *Might*. I think the idea of reducing ascensions to ancient god has a lot of merit! But might be hard to impliment due to alot of people at incarnate/messiah etc.
The 5mil lifers is simply because a good player can raid that in about 10minutes.. but a new player cant. Just gets them started so that they can keep spending

So the players who 'Worked awhile back' to get to LG+3 and decided to stick there...
new players join and get AG level ascended Which is higher blessing...alls they need to do is ascend 1 time and THEN they have an advantage over LGs

if a starting account get lots of resourses, then it will only be a matter of time before huge amounts of mulities are created and feed the resourses and dumps the account

I like the 5 mil lifers idea.
about the ascenions I like another idea that I read in a different thread, instead of having to wait two weeks(?), make it possible to ascend every 5 days for the ascenions from 0 to LG(+0) if you can get the G&Rs.

well, 200 GnR is 4+1/4 days in the 1 G&R points range. there's still the 2 week gap between ascenions so even with only 200G&R needed you would still have to wait 2 weeks between ascenions, though lower stats are needed. I actually prefere the idea to be able to ascend every 4+1/4 days if you can get into the 5 G&R rankings

they can do what all others have done before ie. work on their acc then trade up to a higher accended.
but maybe give all fss from the start, its the ability to trade that gives most the real start they need....
quicker ascentions aren't necessarily a better thing, or ppl will end up with poorly built accs that they still can't do much with

How do you have a "poorly" built account? everything except MS is reset
If you're referring to ascended, the the ascensions points are not helpful in the slightest, I can farm in 1 attack more APP then i can generate from any ascension.
