Couple of questions

I have a couple of questions.

First question - I am on my ascending run. I want to know is it worth getting into the top .2% to ascend quicker or should I just stick in the top 10% or whatever it is?

Second question - I have mostly attack planets. Is it worth having them attack planets to boost my strike while farming and have lower attack soldier numbers or will it not really save a lot of men and I might as well find UP or income planets?

Thanks in advance guys!

It is worth it being UNKNOWN, that's 23 times ascended. So the quicker you get there the better.

As for planets, currently even minor defences, when not at war are in the trillions, so attack and defence planets have become rather useless. UP planets are the way to go, but as the game evolves, priorities evolve.

First question - No it isn't worth it, you'd need a covert level of 34+ to easily get into that range and to make each ascention and buy up to covert 34 is definitely not worth it, unless you really want to get to UnKnown that fast sit in the 2% range, it's so easy to stay in there anyway.

Second question - Small strike farming with good attack planets will reduce losses yes, if you're aiming to farm with a 1T strike or so then having a few attack planets to keep you there will ensure fewer losses. If you're planning to farm on the larger scale you'll need a much bigger strike and with attack and defence stats doubled in a recent update attack planets pale in comparison to the strike you can build, they may help but not by much.

Finally...

I think I know what I'll do now. I think ditching th attack planets and finding UP planets is the way to go. I'll just get back the soldiers I lose from farming from the UP planets.

Thanks for the help guys and sorry for starting this thread in the wrong place.

But Lion you are WELL-KNOWN so you kind of contradict your advice there :smt042

Having done the ascencions recently from Prior to AG I can tell you that it is cheapest to sit as close to the end of the GnR range as possible and farm from there.

The cheapest way is to have the min Unit Production you need, that way you lose far less when ascending. The only problem is that this method you need to grow by raiding instead of Naq farming but I found that raiding at such a smaller size on inactive accounts was far less risky than getting good Naq hits on active players who may not like.

First question - I am on my ascending run. I want to know is it worth getting into the top .2% to ascend quicker or should I just stick in the top 10% or whatever it is?

- well look, you have to wait a min of 14days to ascend again and In the 2% it will take 20.8 days. and only 4.1 days for top 0.2. but think 6 dyas will help you with the farming and raiding you will be doing *helps with losses*

Second question - I have mostly attack planets. Is it worth having them attack planets to boost my strike while farming and have lower attack soldier numbers or will it not really save a lot of men and I might as well find UP or income planets?

- well if you just farm inactive *0def accs* you wont need attack planets, When i did my log Ascension run from LG to unknown i just had 10 up planets and built along as the up went up for req it helped a lot in recovering the losses.

Thanks mate. I am already doing some of this. My UP is only 2500 and my rank just about 900. (I know this can go lower, next time I'll just half my defense.)

Yeah staying in the 2% I think will be the better way to go about it, I'll save a lot of resources this way. When my MS returns I'll search for UP planets I think.

Thanks for all the help guys, truly appreciate it. :)

You do not need a level 34 covert to get in the top .2% 160 is the 5 G&R point. On the higher end of the ascensions you will need 17mil trained why not make those supers?
With 15mil def supers and 2mil attack supers a 750bil MS level 32 covert and 10mil spies I am willing to bet you will be very close to rank 160.

You get back 75% of your naq from weapons anyways
